After discovering the interesting and exciting Saigon, you can also spend one day visiting some very famous attractions and landmarks very near from this city. It is Cu Chi Tunnels, with a total length of 250 km of tunnels and chambers, was dug by bare hands and simple tools in the 1940s, and then largely expanded in the 1960s during the combat. Despite all the bombings in their city, the Cu Chi locals and guerrillas were still able to continue their daily lives underneath the soil, where they ate, slept, healed sick, and even planned and launched surprising attacks during the war.
You can also Mekong Delta River which is home to unique ecosystems, as well as diverse communities unlike anywhere else in the world; or visit the Cao Dai Temple, the headquarters of the Cao Daism – a religion founded in 1926 combining Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Confucianism, Geniism, and Taoism.

Visit two major attractions of southern Vietnam — one historical, one natural, both cultural — on this 11-hour tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta from Ho Chi Minh City. Explore the tunnel system and learn about its role as a hospital, living quarters, storage, and more during wartime, and then cruise through the canals of the delta on a motorboat and rowboat to visit a village.
Depart Ho Chi Minh City and travel by private vehicle to Tây Ninh Province. Visit the Cao Đài temples near the Black Virgin Mountain (Núi Bà Đen), and learn why the mountain is revered by the people of Vietnam.
Ride the cable car to the pagoda temple dedicated to the local Khmer deity, Bà Đen. Get breathtaking views of the surrounding fruit orchards, mango trees, and woodland flowers, and learn the ancient legends of the mountain, towering 3,000 feet above rice fields and jungle. Take an optional hike further up the mountain to discover two more temples, if you desire.
Then, visit the amazing Củ Chi tunnels, with a break for lunch on the way to the subterranean city that served as the operations base of the Viet Cong for the Tết Offensive during the Vietnam War. Return to Ho Chi Minh City after exploring the labyrinth of tunnels, and get dropped off at your hotel.

7:30 AM – You will be picked up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city by a VIP Car (with seats luxuriously designed in a passenger cabin) and head to Cu Chi tunnels, where you will explore and learn about the Vietnam War resistance the US Forces.

Departing at 8:00 AM, from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, heading to the Mekong Delta by minivan or bus. During the 1.5 hour drive, pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. Your morning trip continues from here by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Qui (Tortoise Islet). On the way, see the fishing port, boat-building workshops, and the Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn Islet.
Walk into the village, where you can visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Here you also can join daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. Visit the bee house, and take the picture of the snakes. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.
The boat cruise will lead you through Bao Dinh canal, entering Ben Tre province — “the land of coconuts.” Here you’ll see a typical agricultural model called “Garden – Pond – Cage,” before visiting the coconut candy-making shop.
Next, enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut’s trees. After your boat ride, relax in a hammock or take a bike ride around the island before returning to the bus. You will arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City at around 4:30 to 5:00 PM.
